AgEng2018 Conference Privacy Policy appendix

End of May 2018 new EU legislation on privacy and personal data is coming into effect. This appendix at the AgEng2018 conference privacy policy is based on this new legislation, and includes:

  • The organizing team only has access to personal data, submitted by the conference participants.
  • The personal data involved, are listed at the registration form at and at
  • Participants submit their personal data when they register for the conference and/or when they submit an oral or poster abstract.
  • Bank account and invoice data can only be accessed by the organizational manager of the team.
  • One of the team members is data manager and first responsible for the privacy policy.
  • Third parties involved, e.g. for hosting the conference website, have signed a privacy agreement with the AgEng2018 organizing team.
  • Conference program and proceedings information is published on the public websites of the conference ( and EurAgEng (, on paper and through a conference App; this information includes names of the authors of the oral and poster presentations, and the email address of the main author.
  • Photos and videos will be taken / recorded during the conference and presented during the conference and on the websites of the conference ( and EurAgEng (
  • Personal data are not distributed to third parties.
  • If, in spite of all the measures to protect the privacy of personal data of the conference participants, a data loss occurs, this will be reported by the authorities.
  • When the final evaluation report of the conference is authorized and the last financial report is published, the personal data of the conference participants will be deleted, except names and email addresses of participants and authors. Preparation of the 2020 AgEng conference can be done faster and with higher quality when the communication of the new EurAgEng conference can be done with direct messages to the 2018 conference participants.
